Let me give you a brief lesson about the Alliance before we continue.
We are made up of five different races ruled over by the Regent

Membership in the Alliance has several benefits
Each member of the Alliance carries in their bloodstream basic health nanites that keep them at their optimum level
There is a basic level of living, no homelessness nor any starvation, on any of the homeworlds
All members have basic rights of life, liberty, and trade protected by law
